Day 2
Day 2 was spent chilling around different bars in the city. Alistair had been awake at stupid o'clock in the morning, toured Amsterdam, seen the sights and bought a paper before the rest of us had ventured out of bed. At night me, Robbie, Gav, and Andy decided we fancied a mexican and left the others. Our original plan was to meet up with them later. We walked in to the restaurant and were told they were busy so we'd have to wait for a table. We sat at the bar, and ate some nacho's and started talking to this girl. It turned out she was Isrealli and worked in the restaurant. This was her night off. When we sat down for the meal, she came and joined us and in the end we spent the rest of the night in there. Once the staff had finished they all came over and joined us and we ended up having a lock in with them.
Me & Robbie travelled back early the next morning, and arrived back in Birmingham airport forgetting we had no way back to Biddulph. We decided to jump on a train, so leapt on the first one to New Street that came. Little did we know that you get fined for not having a ticket on trains in Birmingham. On my way to work everyday I buy my ticket on the train, but here the conductor refused to sell us one and wanted to fine us £40. Things developed into a heated argument and at New Street we were escorted off the train and led to the head conductors office, the whole time still wearing the somberos that we'd be given in the Mexican the night before. Eventually the boss saw sense and let us off for the fine, and we finally got to jump on a train home!! |
